Seriously, an amazing time. Having eaten most of the menu in one fell swoop was probably the best idea I've ever had. From Wagyu to King Crab and Foie Gras to Uni this was the most gastronomical experience you could ever hope to have in Bend, Oregon. They take you on the most adventurous food journey of your life here and it changes seasonally! Anytime you come here, it will be a night to remember.

Came to Bos Taurus to splurge on some fancy steaks, and splurge we did. We got the A5 Omi Princess Waygu from Japan, a NY strip waygu hybrid from Australia, crispy brussels sprouts and their foie gras budino dessert. That A5 Omi Princess Waygu has special place in my heart and I miss her already. It was just amazing, it melts in your mouth and I barely had to chew. This just made the NY strip hybrid pale in comparison--still good, cooked perfectly but nothing special after the A5 waygu. Both my husband and I had a really hard time trying to eat the brussels sprouts. Omg it was just.so.sweet. We told the servers we couldn't eat it, so they kindly took it off our bill. The foie gras budino wasn't half as sweet as the brussel sprouts and we absolutely loved it. The foie gras was at the bottom of the cup, and we were instructed to try to get a single bite of all the components to get all the flavors. It was decadent, and one of the most unique desserts I've had. Definitely try this if you're looking for something new.
While the service we got was great, everything just took very long. I think we got there at 8pm but didn't finish until close to 10pm. It was just my husband and I, so we weren't out socializing with a huge group. The wait for dishes took really long. So, if you are on a time crunch, keep in mind that you might be here for a while.
The Bos Taurus restaurant is small but punches above its weight class. From the incredibly knowledgeable bartenders to waitstaff, open kitchen down to selecting your knife options for a steak.
If you want to feel like someone gives a damn, this should be where you head to.
Both times we've been we've gotten great advice and not useless but rather "if you prefer that lighter style I'd actually suggest X option". Very accommodating, clean and well lit. The only downside is it is a little compact inside for some seating but well worth that small compromise👌

The A5. Popover appetizer. A smoking Manhattan. These are the staples of this stellar restaurant. I can't find a flaw after over half a dozen visits. Sit downstairs if you can (it's quieter). Also be sure to try whatever pasta is on tap that week.
